Planning a staff party, family function, or
special meeting? Looking for an activity that will leave everyone saying "WOW"?
More than just a game, Star Chamber is an exciting group activity that
will engage everyone and encourage them to interact. It can be played by
almost any sized group, and is an excellent way for people to meet and mingle.
In the game players form teams and are pitted against one another,
making Star Chamber
a great tool for team building. Everyone will get involved and want
to participate because it doesn’t require any special skills, knowledge or
physical ability. Instead teams use their wits and "group think" to piece together clues
to solve a series of puzzles. It is a perfect event for a school group because
it encourages problem solving and creative thinking in a format that teens love.
What to expect
Upon arrival your group will be directed to the main corridor to be
given instruction in the game. An
atmosphere of suspense is created with the use of video projectors, theatrical lighting,
sound equipment and stage props. Here
they will find several computer workstations that the players will
use during the game. The group will be split into
teams, and the computer will present them with a
mystery to solve. Players will explore the chamber’s rooms and
passageways to discover clues. With each new mystery the team is
faced with, there's no telling what approach will be required to
solve it.
Everything is designed to challenge the teams mentally; nothing requires strength, dexterity, or any particular
skill other than a problem-solving mindset. Once the team thinks
they've discovered the solution they return to the computer to try their
guess. The computer will let them know if they are right or wrong,
and will score them based on how quickly they respond. Beside
score-keeping, the computer
manages all facets of game play by providing clues, giving hints
when needed, and declaring the winner.
